STEER have made some surprising discoveries:

90% of those intending to drive had been drinking (Byron Shire Community Events 2016)
68% of patrons engage with STEER voluntary breath testing based on curiosity (Falls Festival 2016/17)
65% of patrons had no idea of their BAC (Ballina Prawn Festival 2016)
40% of patrons aged 60-69 had BAC’s over 0.1 compared to 8% of patrons aged under 20 (Byron Shire Community Events 2016)
92% of green p platers intending to drive had a BAC over 0.0 (Splendour 2016)
42% of full licence holders intending to or thinking about driving had consumed 3-4 standard drinks (Splendour 2017)
94% of those intending to drive and testing over their limit intended to change their behaviour (Splendour 2018)
